JUNIOR 

The Triesis 488 Music Association, under the patronage of the Municipality of Novara, announces the IV  Edition of the “Sergio Fiorentino” International Piano Competition.

The competition will take place on the 26th, 27th and 28th of September 2024 (NO), Italy at the Auditorium f.lli Olivieri (Via Dominioni, 1).

PARTICIPATION MODALITY

The Junior Section of the Competition is open to pianists of all nationalities who have not turned 17 at the start of the competition (26th of September). Candidates related with or who have any constant teaching relationships with one or more members of the jury are not allowed to apply for the Competition. Participation to masterclasses does not imply any exclusion. All travel and accomodation expenses are at the contestants’ charge.                                                                                                                                

Applying for the Competition implies unconditional adherence to the regulations, both in its general rules and in the specific rules of each section of the Competition.

ANTI COVID-19 PROTOCOL                                              

The organization undertakes to observe all the procedures established by law in order to protect the safety of the competitors. Candidates will be promptly informed of the protocols in force.

PROGRAM                                                                               

Free program of max. 15 minutes.
All pieces must be played from memory. All pieces must be published.

VOTING SYSTEM                                                          

The Jury’s judgement is unquestionable and irrevocable.
The results of the Junior Section will be determined by the score expressed by Jury for each competitor.

Applications for the Competition are open until the 26th of August 2024.
The registration form, which can be downloaded here, must be sent to the following email address: s.fiorentinopianocompetition@gmail.com It is mandatory to write as subject of the email "Registration for the Sergio Fiorentino International Piano Competition 2024".
The following documents must be attached:

• copy of the payment of the application fee

• copy of the identity document;

• curriculum and a professional photo.

The application fee to the Junior Section of the Competition is € 90. The payment has to be made to the following IBAN: IT45T0503410100000000281968

The application fee refers to payment by bank transfer; in case of payment by PayPal a commission of 5€ is added.

PRIZES

• FIRST PRIZE
  euro 1,000 (one thousand/00) indivisible
  and First Prize Diploma

• SECOND PRIZE
  euro 400 (four hundred/00)
  and Second Prize Diploma

• THIRD PRIZE
  euro 200 (two hundred/00)
  and Third Prize Diploma

A Finalist Diploma will be given to the not awarded finalist.
The Jury has the right not to award prizes if the contestants do not reach the required artistic level.

The prizegiving concert of the winners will take place on the 28th of September 2024 in Novara, the Auditorium f.lli Olivieri (Via Dominioni, 1). The non-participation to the winners concert implies the renunciation of the prize.

PRIVACY                                                                             

The application implies the unconditioned acceptation of the present regulation. For any disputes, the court of Novara will be competent.
The candidate through the application authorizes – according to art. 97 of the Law about the copyright – to make audio-visual recordings about someone’s performance and broadcast on all platforms of the Association or connected to it and to publish photos on promotional material of the Association or exhibit on occasion of future events. In relation to this the candidates cannot advance any right or financial reward. According to the art. 13 and 14 of GDPR – Regulation UE 2016/679 about copyright – the data provided on the application will be used exclusively to send information about the Competition excluding any other use. The organization declines any responsability for whatever damage to people and/or things of all kinds during the Competition.
